RICKY YABUT...

Ricky Yabut, Sportsman Polo Player has played in many parts of the world, Asia, Australia, Europe, USA and Argentina. In his travels he was able to experience many peoples and there culture. He was particularly interested in the Art and Architecture of the places he visited which took him to many Museums and Art Galleries, Historical Sites, Castles, Ruins, and other places of interest.

Ricky is a collector of Tribal and Primitive Art, mostly from Africa, Asia and the Pacific. When the collection started getting too big for his Makati Condominium he decided to transfer it to a new venue. Now his collection is displayed in his Calatagan, Batangas home which he built around his favorite pieces that are quite valuable. It is in Calatagan, amongst his collection that he gets his inspiration to create his own Art.

Ricky has had many compliments on his Calatagan home not only because of the collection of art pieces it housed but because of the design and function it possessed. Much attention was placed on details such as lighting, colors of interior and façade and landscaping outdoor sculptures included. “Cortijo Del Charro” (literally translated is The House of the Horseman) is what the house has been named is featured in architectural books and countless magazines and daily’s.
